AIR SPRINGS – EFFICIENT SOLUTIONS FOR PNEUMATIC APPLICATIONS

Firestone air springs can be used both as a stroke-supporting element and as an element for vibration isolation. Bellows cylinders can, for example, be used linearly as a drive element, with a maximum angular offset of up to 30° or an offset of 8 - 10 mm possible. They can be filled with different media, such as air, nitrogen, or water, in order to obtain the correct parameters in terms of strength and linear stiffness for the respective application. In vibration and oscillation isolation, bellows cylinders are used to isolate unwanted vibrations. The special feature of the bellows cylinders is that they can isolate vibrations in parallel and at the same time change the lifting height without significantly changing the vibration and vibration isolation
